Vice: Why Women Are Quitting Their Side Hustle: Leaving LuLaRoe

Watching this makes me feel awful for all the women that fell for Lularoe. Broken friendship, broken families, and broken dreams. The idea that a company would sell wet, smelly, and moldy clothes to consultants and those consultants selling those clothes to the public is appalling. There’s so much to unpack in that video like why on Earth would the consultants call the owners “mom” and “dad” or why did the owner felt the need to pressure the consultants into getting weight loss surgery down in Mexico?

All in all the ladies in the video are quite brave for speaking out knowing there could be a backlash from former friends, uplines, and downlines. It seems as if Lularoe has had a lot of their members leave the company. It will be interesting to see what Lularoe will look like in the future if they survive all this controversy.
