Catherine makes her public appearance
The Princess of Wales has shared a heartfelt message expressing gratitude for the public’s support during her cancer diagnosis, and announced she will attend Trooping the Colour tomorrow.
Kate, 42, revealed in March that she is undergoing ‘preventative chemotherapy’ for an undisclosed type of cancer. Her treatment will continue for several more months.
Although she will not resume full-time public duties, she feels well enough to participate in a few engagements over the coming months. Her first appearance will be at the King’s official birthday parade tomorrow. She will ride in a carriage with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, and join the Royal Family on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
To commemorate this news, Kensington Palace released a stunning new portrait of the princess, taken at Windsor this week by Matt Porteous, showing her looking well and reflective.
